Gorgeous? Yes. Majestic? You got it. Hair better than yours? Definitely? Potty trained? Not so much. Because of their independent and free-spirited nature, Afghan hounds can be hard to housebreak.
These dogs tend to do what they want, when they want, frequently ignoring your commands and promps. With a strong sense of autonomy, Afghan Hound puppies will often give their owners some hard time when it comes to potty training. They prefer doing things at their own pace, so it’s quite hard for them to understand rules.
