12 Dog Breeds That Might ALWAYS Pee in Your House

7. Shih Tzu

Shih Tzu dogs feel like they’re the boss, making them stubborn when it comes to potty training efforts. Training a Shih Tzu can be both an entertaining and a frustrating experience.

The breed tends to charm their owners into letting them have their own way, which can result in a chubby, less-than-completely-housebroken pet who is difficult to groom.

Since these dogs have long hair, they can be easily soiled. This will make them resistant to elimination in dirty or wet conditions. Don’t forget to have your paws cleaned whenever your dog needs to go.

It’s also worth mentioning that Shih Tzus are sensitive to changes in their routine. Therefore, disruptions can result in confusion and difficulties establishing good potty habits.

  1. I was a Cocker Spaniel owner and mine was very skiddish. He had problems with submissive urination. It was difficult to attach his leash because of this. My Vet advised me to Raise my hand up like I was going to hit him, then bring it down with a treat. That trick is what I used to attach his leash. But once he was house broken, he didn’t have “accidents”, just the submissive urination.
