10. Cocker Spaniel

A Cocker Spaniel has high energy levels and won’t ever refuse to play with you. These dogs are sweet-natured, playful, and incredibly gentle pets, but they can also exhibit a temperamental and unpredictably defensive attitude that can make potty training a nuisance.

It’s important to note that Cocker Spaniels are sensitive dogs and that they don’t respond well to harsh training methods. When housebreaking your Cocker Spaniels, you should avoid yelling, being too harsh, or physically punishing your dog, as they will likely either become defensive or urinate in submission.

Be very patient when training your pup because you wouldn’t want your furry companion to develop anxiety.

  1. I was a Cocker Spaniel owner and mine was very skiddish. He had problems with submissive urination. It was difficult to attach his leash because of this. My Vet advised me to Raise my hand up like I was going to hit him, then bring it down with a treat. That trick is what I used to attach his leash. But once he was house broken, he didn’t have “accidents”, just the submissive urination.
