Yellow Sac Spider
The yellow sac spider, also known as Cheiracanthium Inclusum, is a yellow species of spider in the family Cheiracanthiidae. In general, the body of both females and males can measure between five to ten mm (0.20 to 0.39 in). Researchers say that this species of spider can be found all over the world. They are often confused with house spiders and are rarely seen because they are quite small.
The bite of the yellow sac spider is really painful, and the venom contains a substance called cytotoxin, which can damage the functions of the cells, usually leading to cell death. However, studies have shown that the venom of the yellow sac spider can’t cause death in humans, but it can cause necrosis, pain, swelling, and lesions in the affected area.
This species of spider tends to protect its territory with zeal and will become aggressive if someone or something tries to threaten its eggs. So, try to stay away from their house. Did you know that some of these spiders are actually attracted to the smell of gasoline? They can even weave webs inside the canister vent of your car.

Yuck !
They left off probably the two most dangerous spiders there are: The Brazilian Wandering Spider (or Banana Spider) and the Funnel Web Spider from Australia. Both can cause death to humans.
Oh my, Marc! And they wonder why there is such fear of spiders! As the saying goes, “It’s not rocket science!
The Brazilian was the last one posted
The article speak of those 2, Marc !!
Read again, its listed last.
its there #7
I agree. I always thought the Funnel Web was the most venomous
Yes, OMG, I am sooooo afraid of sppiders and every night before I go to bed, I check out the ceiling, and every other place in my room that I might think one of those icky things may be hiding!!! I hate them more than anything else, or should I say that I am afraid of spiders more than anything else !
Make sure you plug in a ultrasonic sensor with a blue light. Spiders HATE blue lights. They ABSOLUTELY HATE THEM, and will stay away at the sight of them.
Nothing to fear
But fear itself
(Oh yeah and spiders)
Echoing Marc’s comment, I don’t think there’s a deadlier spider on earth than Australia’s Sydney funnelweb spider. If it is fully loaded with venom when it strikes, it can kill a healthy young adult human within 20 minutes, and there is no antivenin. This one is very aggressive and deadlier than the Brazilian wanderer.
Both the Brazilian wondering banana spider and the funnel spider were mentioned and given their due respect
By quite a way the funnel wed spider takes the trophy in this category.
I have always been under the impression that the male Sydney funnel web was the second most dangerous spider in the world next to the Brazilian wandering spider. Why didn’t the funnel web even make the list?
Even the Wolf Spider can trigger Anaphylaxis, which can be deadly for some. It isn’t necessarily the venom or poison, but the individual’s reaction to the toxin.
Do any of these spiders live in the United State/ If so – where?
What about the Black Widow, the Brown Recluse??
