Stress
It may not seem like it, but one dangerous fall thing that can put your dog in a tight spot is actually the stress that comes with this year. Not only can the number of Halloween trick-or-treaters stress them out, but they can also get sick of all the guests coming in and out of your home. This is especially true if you have an anxious pet, especially when it comes to rescue dogs.
Another stressor during this period is definitely fireworks that may be coming in sooner than later. We all know how much they hate the 4th of July, and it is not different during this time of the year. Likewise, the number of storms during the fall increases, so they may end up being stressed because of that too.
You can try to minimize the sounds that scare them with music or by closing windows and curtains, but it is also helpful to give your dog something that will help lessen their anxiety. Hemp oil has been proven useful, but make sure that you read the dosage instructions carefully, and if you are not sure, speak with your bet about it!
There are a lot of signs that your pup is not feeling well, but some of them are easier to spot than others. If you want to make sure you know your dog’s body language, make sure you keep an eye out for these important signs that your dog is not feeling well!
