3. Bats
I have a riddle for you; it’s simple, and I’m sure that you’ll solve it in less than 30 seconds. Who’s a rabies carrier who is infected with SARS, has very sharp teeth, flies all night long, and sleeps all day? Bats.
They’re indeed tiny and cute, which might make you tempted to adopt one as a pet, but experts say it’s better to take a look at them while they’re in the wild.
It’s true that they don’t need a lot of space to live in, but they can hibernate for months and months in colder climates, and their life expectancy is rather high—they’ll live for more than 30 years.
If you keep a bat as a pet, it’s not going to be easy to provide them with all the right ingredients for a nutritious and balanced diet, which includes fruit, insects, and something blood during the night (that depends on the species).
