If you’re looking for a large dog breed that’s low-maintenance and temperate, this could be the perfect inexpensive and cute dog breed for you, especially if you choose to adopt a former racing greyhound.
You may be surprised that these fast sprinters are incredibly relaxed and notably graceful indoors, making them excellent dogs for apartment living. And at about 65 pounds and 30 inches tall, that little bit of info is a definite plus! They don’t require long exercise sessions, either.
That said, letting greyhounds stretch their legs and run around a bit is essential. And if those qualities weren’t enough to impress you, they’re also one of the dog breeds you won’t hear bark too much. They have a low-maintenance coat and an all-around healthy bill of health.
The only thing we MUST mention is that most deep-chested breeds, like the greyhound, are sensitive to bloating. So if you’re interested in this breed, you should ask your vet about the symptoms and keep an eye out.
