9. Pug
When you first bring home your pug, you may be less concerned with less glamorous things like potty training and more focused on snuggles and trying out all their new toys. Pugs have a stubborn temperament, but the good news is that you can potty train yours with patience and perseverance. The bad news? Housebreaking is hard.
Pugs are especially stubborn when going to the bathroom, particularly when it’s not nice outside. They love their owners so much, they might have attachment issues going by themselves!
However, they’re playful, affectionate pups that will get along well even with novice pet parents.

I was a Cocker Spaniel owner and mine was very skiddish. He had problems with submissive urination. It was difficult to attach his leash because of this. My Vet advised me to Raise my hand up like I was going to hit him, then bring it down with a treat. That trick is what I used to attach his leash. But once he was house broken, he didn’t have “accidents”, just the submissive urination.
Great article! And, wouldn’t you know? We live with two Jacks!
