Pumpkins
We all know that pumpkin puree is a great addition to our dog’s diet, especially if they have an upset stomach. However, what a lot of dog owners do not realize is that pumpkins are also one of the fall things that can be dangerous to our pups for a lot of reasons.
First of all, pumpkin is a great addition to their food, but if they consume it in large quantities, it can end up giving them a sensitive stomach. What’s more, a lot of people think that it will not do much if they replace a meal with puree or even roasted pumpkin, but it is actually going to do more harm than good. Keep to around one teaspoon for every 10 pounds of your dog’s weight added to their food as a supplement, and you should be okay.
Another reason why this is a fall thing that can harm your dog is because a lot of us leave decorated pumpkins with candles in them around the home. Make sure the candle is never easy to reach by your pet and that even if knocked over, it will not cause issues. We do not want an injured pet on our hands or an accidental home fire!
