Prevent shedding 2: Regular baths and deshedding shampoo

As we mentioned earlier, using a deshedding shampoo is one of your best bets when it comes to reducing the amount of shedding your dog has. This is because the shampoo will help keep it in control, and you can use it outside of shedding season too if your dog basically sheds all year long.

What’s more, you should also bathe them regularly, even if they do not smell, and outside of your seasonal or yearly grooming appointments.

You can safely bathe your dog once every two months (make sure not to exaggerate with the baths; some breeds do not need to be bathed more than once a year) to help remove any excess hair and keep their skin clean.
