2. Rottweilers
The American Kennel Club recognizes Rottweilers for their intelligence and confidence. They have been among the first dogs helping the blind and serving as police or search-and-rescue dogs. Their territorial instincts make them excellent watchdogs, and with proper supervision and training, they can be wonderful family pets.
615 attacks were reportedly caused by Rottweilers since 1982, an average of 17.1 incidents per year. 103 of these attacks resulted in deaths.
The key to ensuring a Rottweiler remains well-behaved and balanced is to offer them proper training and socialization. Despite their size and strength, they can be very affectionate and gentle with their families. Offering them both a working role and a family member role is amazing for these dogs.

My little Maltese is a one person dog. He is sweet with all our family but not with strangers. We love him to death and really do spoil him. He loves his daily walk and it is good for me too.

I have successfully owned and bred AKC registered American Stafforshire Terriers. They are loyal, gentle and protective of their human families. Mine were part of our family. They were never aggressive. I bred them for 20 years. We gave them lots of love and affection. They were never hyperactive. They are related to the Pit Bull. Pit bulls have a long pointed snout. My Pit Bull was gentle and affectionate. She loved to play. I firmly believe that some people raise their dogs (of any breed)…to hate and be aggressive. This is very sad and tragic. Perhaps, owners need to be screened before allowing them to have these magnificent dogs.
I do not believe the labs are dangerous dogs.
No dog is inherently dangerous, they are products of their environment. Any dog from a toy breed to a giant breed is equally prone to attack given a reason. Many dog attacks are misreported as unprovoked attacks with no evidence or witness to what the person did leading upto the attack. I have only had one dog draw blood on me and have been the most vicious breed no matter who owned them…..Chihuahua’s.
