Fleas and ticks
When it comes to parasites like fleas and ticks, they do not disappear when the seasons change. Unfortunately, these pesky parasites are not like mosquitoes, and they do linger around no matter the season.
A lot of pet owners make the dangerous assumption that parasites are no longer an issue after the hot season ends, but they are mistaken. Make sure you keep checking your pets, especially your dog, who may be rolling into leaves in the park, for ticks and fleas regularly, and talk to your vet about what tick and fly solutions you should use and how often!
This is one of the things that can cause really bad issues, so check your dog for parasites after walks.
